Camping Grande Italia is located very close to the small town of Chioggia, in the heart of Veneto, known as "Little Venice". You will be captivated by its canals, old bridges, and narrow streets. A short walk from the campsite (500m), strolling along the promenade facing the Adriatic Sea, don't miss the weekly market—lively, colourful, and renowned as the largest in the region. For a day trip, the large Mirabilandia theme park, located near Ravenna, will delight the whole family. The more dynamic ones will love the water attractions, while the more tranquil ones will be amazed by the park's multiple shows and installations.
Also take time for an excursion to Venice. The water taxi, 600m from the campsite, drops you off at St. Mark's Square. Enter the basilica and then go see the Doge's Palace. Treat yourself to an ice cream, of course, and why not a gondola ride... Discover the pleasure of wandering freely to explore the old districts of Cannaregio or Castello. Admire the charming old bridges of the city and the Fenice theatre. Then, on another day, set off to discover the islands of the lagoon, or go as far as Padua or Ravenna. Let yourself be charmed...
Set aside a day to explore Venice. Take a water taxi from the stop just 600 m from the campsite straight to St. Mark's Square. Wander round the basilica before visiting the Doge's Palace. Treat yourself to an ice cream, and maybe even a gondola ride. Discover the joy of strolling through the historic districts of Cannaregio or Castello. Take in the city’s charming old bridges and the Fenice Theatre.
Another day, why not explore the lagoon islands, or head to Padua or Ravenna and fall under their charm...
